Exploring my world through Art

Moving up the coast to our life in rural qathet district, has let my inner artist run free.  It’s also changed the way that I view the world.  I now abstract the things I see and search for the composition, colours and textures that will work in my paintings.

This page is a record of my work as it progresses where I try to explain a bit about each painting and the process involved in its creation.  I’ve found that the paintings I like the most have a background story that anchors what I’m trying to communicate visually and gives it greater meaning.  I’ll do my best to describe each story as I go.

I’ve noticed a marked improvement as I get more experience with paint, brush, and canvas, but I’m still early on my artistic journey.   I’ve arranged and numbered my paintings chronologically, so you can see the progress.
