2023 was a challenging year. But it was also a year of rebuilding, refocusing and realigning. By year’s end, significant steps were made and hefty obstacles were overcome. Not everything has been resolved, but it feels like the clouds are lifting. The start of 2024 is showing great promise and I can feel an energy around Twin Eagles Bluff that has been missing for some time.

It’s less than two weeks into the new year and we’ve already started progress on getting the house finished. I don’t have a clear timeline in mind yet, but as long as we are taking small steps forward, I can live with a construction zone for another few months.
Finally, I’m back working on creative projects. Today is the first day that I resume painting. I haven’t done much creative work since late October (other than building a miniature elf house). Three months is far too long to be away from the paint brushes, so I expect my next painting to be a bit clunky. I’ll start with something small and achievable, but clearly it’s time to get back into the saddle.
