I’m working on a series of still lives and this is a painting of a potted plant house warming present from some neighbours. I love the textured pot and the array of green succulent stems that created the most interesting shadows on the counter. Because the kitchen lights are so strong it created two sets of shadows, one weaker than the other. This painting took about six hours to complete.
